Columbiettes koc3680: 2025:- 70th Anniversary

The Parsippany Columbiettes are thrilled to be celebrating our 70th Anniversary in April 2025! It’s a remarkable milestone, reflecting seven decades of service and community engagement since our founding in 1955. Our organization is open to all Catholic women from any Parish to join our Parsippany Auxiliary. But, it is mostly comprised of dedicated women from St. Christopher’s, St. Peter’s, and St. Ann’s Catholic Churches, and has a rich history of giving back.

Over the years, our collective efforts have made a tangible difference in the lives of many. We’ve consistently supported those in need through various initiatives, including:
1-providing warm socks to the less fortunate;
2-hosting an uplifting ice cream social for a retired firemen;
3-assembling and donating school book bags and supplies to children;
4-supplying essential personal hygiene items and purses to homeless women;
5-gifting Christmas cards to families within our parish communities;
6-showering new mothers in need with support and gifts;
7-knitting and donating lap blankets to veteran homes; and
8-contributing substantial cash donations, approximating $3,000 annually to numerous national volunteer organizations selected by our members.

Our fundraising efforts are equally vital to our continued success. Our annual October tea party is a beloved tradition.

We also participate in a vibrant array of social and spiritual activities, fostering camaraderie and friendship among our members. These include
-communal rosary prayers,
-fun-filled summer pool parties,
-festive Christmas luncheons, and
-thoughtful “thinking of you” cards for members facing health challenges.

We are incredibly proud of our legacy and look forward to celebrating this momentous anniversary with all our cherished members.

Parsippany Columbiettes3680 celebrated their 60th anniversary with a luncheon at the Gourmet Café in Parsippany. Proprietor Matthew Pierone provided lunch and atmosphere for the event. The ladies in attendance represent our non-profit organization dedicated to many charities and community activities.

Today, its nearly 1.8 million members make up the largest Catholic lay organization in the world, and last year Knights donated more than $150 million and volunteered 68 million hours of their time to charity.
